2.PPT： 美国人为什么叫警察为cop？

cop一词来源于copper(铜)。由于美国警察都穿有铜扣的大衣，戴铜制的徽章，所以人们就戏称警察为copper。久而久之，copper就变成了cop。

PPT出示美国英语和英国英语表达同一事物和意思时用词不同的单词：   

Read:

In the US, we call a policeman a   “cop”. In the UK, we call a firefighter a “fireman”.
