Step 2 While reading 1. What’s the West? 西方，普遍指位于西半球、北半球的国家 Observe the wold map, and find Western countries in the map. 2. What is the culture? 文化是一种社会现象，它是由人类长期创造形成的产物，同时又是一种历史现象，是人类社会与历史的积淀物。（历史、地理、风土人情、传统习俗、生活方式、文学艺术、行为规范、思维方式、价值观念等） 3. What can we learn from this course?
Step 3 Post reading 1.Watch a video about the culture differences between China and West. 2.Talk something about those culture differences. Talk something about the rules of this course.

教学 目标 | 1、学生能了解、知道大主要西方节日，如复活节、愚人节、母亲节等节日的时间、特色主要活动等。 2、学生将通过对比中国传统节日，比较中西方文化差异和风土人情。

Food, languages, festival, clothes, films... 2. Today let’s learn something about western festivals. What western festivals do you know?
1. Introduce some important western festivals Easter 复活节 April Fool’s Day 愚人节： on the first of April Mother’s Day母亲节: on the second Saturday of May Father’s Day 父亲节：on the third Sunday of June Thanksgiving Day 感恩节：on the last Thursday of November Christmas Day 圣诞节：on the twenty-fifth of December 2. What other western festivals do you know?
1. Watch a video: the most moved radio at Christmas 2. What do you learn from the radio or today’s lesson?
